Back in 2001, we were a mail order company selling reusable car parts from unrepairable vehicles. As the business grew, we noticed a recurring problem facing vehicle dismantlers: a surplus of old airbags. They were hazardous, difficult to store and even harder to dispose of properly.
Nobody seemed to have a reliable solution, but rather than accept that, we set out to create one. After a lot of R&D (and trial and error), we built our own process for safely recycling airbags.
As we continued developing our airbag recycling process, it became clear that many automotive manufacturers were facing the same challenge of what to do with end-of-life airbags. We invested significant time and effort into creating a safe, compliant recycling solution, refining the process through testing and development.
That work soon attracted the attention of one of Europe's largest automotive manufacturers, and after demonstrating our capabilities, we secured our first major contract - the start of a 20+ year relationship that continues to this day and helped shape the future direction of the business.
Since then, we've grown to support almost 30 major car manufacturers, alongside businesses operating in waste management, aviation, police and border force, and many other sectors. Although the business looks different from where it started, the common thread has always been the same: We specialise in solving waste challenges that don't fit neatly into a standard collection schedule.
